Opening of La Bastida "Living Museum"

La Bastida research center offers guided tours in the archaeological site and its facilities from now on. This is one the activities included in the project objectives. A tour has been designed to take the visitor through all stages of the archaeological process: excavation, recovering, cataloguing, analysis and conservation. Besides, the archaeologists and specialists will give a full explanation of each discipline of the research development.

The speech will be adapted to groups of different characteristics (students, tourists, archaeology professionals) and the contents will be updated according to the progress of the excavation. Visits (link) have to be booked previously in advance at Totana’s Tourism Office. The tour lasts around 90 minutes. The guided tour is partly adapted to handicap people.
