Merely two weeks ago, La Bastida's archaeologists finished the diggings of a peculiar and beautifully preserved grave that was located on top of the settlement, where the argaric aristocracy used to live.
This tomb consisted in a chamber with masonry walls and pole holes in the corners to keep the roof in place. It contained a female skeleton, placed loosely instead in a forced position as it is common in the argaric society. The two shark teeth deposited as grave goods are exceptional. Besides it includes a typical knife and a copper awl that were usually deposited in full-right women burials, as well as a pot typical of the upper classes (form6), a carinated cup probably used for ritual libations (form5) and a big piece of meat (an ox leg).
