La Bastida de Totana inspires the promotion of argaric archaeology

A delegation of politicians, archaeologists, architects and engineers from Almeria, accompanied by the Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the councilman of Culture, Alfonso Cayuela, visited the archaeological site and the research center of “la Bastida”.

Roberto Risch, one of its coordinators, and its technical staff have shown, on a three hours guided tour, the evolution, current status and future plans of the archaeological project.

The meeting's objective is to develop a common strategy to recover this specific archaeological heritage and to promote argaric archaeological sites all over the southeast of Spain, using our site of “la Bastida” and his project as an example and starting point for this purpose.
