The president of the Community states that the regional government wants to give priority to these excavations, located in the town of Totana, to continue the work and put it in value.
-The President of the Region of Murcia said during his visit to the archaeological site of 'La Bastida', in Totana, that “the regional government wants to give priority to these excavations so that work can continue and La Bastida can become a unique archaeological park in Spain and one of the cultural and touristic benchmarks in the region.”
- Valcárcel, accompanied by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, and the Mayoress of Totana, Isabel Maria Sánchez, indicated that this great finding reveals that 'La Bastida' was, in political and military terms, one of the most developed European cities of the Bronze Age, 4200 years ago.
-The president expressed the regional government's commitment to these excavations to continue the work, "because it is worth for its historical value," he said.
