Introduction

The building housing the laboratories and the storing room beside La Bastida was built in 2007 by the municipal council of Totana. These facilities, enlarged and appropriately equipped, will house the museum, where there will be exhibited the most interesting excavation results and findings.

Currently, an experienced research team is taking care of the cleaning, cataloguing, restoration and analysis of the archaeological findings in this center. Its location and the optimal technical and professional conditions facilitate the work to the local and international researchers. Up to now, La Bastida has been visited by very prestigious researchers and archaeologists from national and international institutions. These have contributed with very valuable data on the different findings discovered in the archaeological site.
